Looking Forward to Election Day (continued)

Now we discover that the President of the United States tried to get the President of Ukraine involved in our presidential election. I suspect that Trump is so amoral that he doesn’t even know when he is betraying his country.  I know that there is concern that the move to impeach him is not a politically good idea; that the Republicans will simply rally around and it will distract from important issues. It is my belief that sometimes we have to stand up for what is right, politically expedient or not. I keep remembering Trump’s boast that he could shoot a man on Fifth Avenue and get away with it. If Nancy Pelosi had not taken a stand, he would have been correct. He must not be allowed to “get away with it." The sad part is how few Republicans other than Romney and one or two others have expressed their concern. The silence is deafening.
